Host A Blood Drive

Thank you for your interest in hosting a blood drive!

Blood drives play a very important role by helping our community maintain a safe and adequate blood supply. Our community depends on the generosity of its healthy residents who voluntarily donate blood at area blood drives and in our donor center. Sponsoring a blood drive requires teamwork and organization. It also provides a meaningful community service activity in which you play a leading role.

Blood drives can be held at schools, churches, businesses, community events or activities.

There are two different ways an organization can host a blood drive:

An In-House Blood Drive is ideal for an organization:

  • Who does not have a large room to accommodate a mobile blood drive.
  • Who is unable to guarantee a minimum of 15 donors.
  • Who has rotating shifts, making it difficult for all employees to participate.

A Mobile Blood Drive is ideal for an organization:

  • Who have a large room to accommodate a mobile blood drive.
  • Who can guarantee a minimum of 15 donors.
  • We bring most of the equipment and the host will need to supply:
    • 6 tables, 25-30 chairs and 1 wastebasket.

Dak Minn Blood Bank and Altru Health System want to thank you for seeking to find a way to serve your community and save local lives.
